We want your suggestions

What would you like to learn this year? Do you have any suggestions  to make CoderDojoCMX even better? Send us a quick message with your ideas by completing this form and we'll take it on board.

Getting A Laptop

At CoderDojo, we use mostly laptops at or weekly sessions. Most participants bring their own but we do have a limited number of Dells generously donated by AIB which are free to use but cannot be taken home. A big part of learning is continuing the work we do on Saturdays throughout the week and as such, having access to a correctly configured computer (with all the Dojo Software etc.) is recommended.

CoderDojoCMX has teamed up with Camara.org to make  laptops that are ideal for CoderDojo work available at a very reasonable cost.

The machines are refurbished, which means thay are not new but have been lovingly serviced to ensure they are in tip-top condition. They come with a 1 year warranty, and are available via the Coder Dojo for €120.

Here's how you order.
If you have Paypal account;

  • Log on to the camara.org donation page,
  • Then select “Donate in €”
  • Enter "Laptop for A.N. Other - CoderDojo CMX” in the Purpose box. (be sure to replace A.N. Other  with your own name!!).
  • Enter 120 in the Donation Amount box
  • Log in to PayPal and complete the payment

The laptop will then wing it's way to CoderDojoCMX and we'll give it to you at a Saturday session.

If you wish to use a credit card;

Follow the steps above but instead of logging in to PayPal on the donation screen, follow the continue link under the 'Don't have a PayPal account' heading.

If you wish to use cash;

If you do not have a Paypal account or credit card, please bring the money to the dojo and we will order one for you.

If you have any problems with this process, chat to any mentor at a Dojo session.

Laptops come with a warranty. Faults can be reported on this form. You need a password to report faults. The password is the same as the default username on the laptop.

we're all VOLUNTEERS

Mentors give their time freely to help build coding skills in the community.
If you'd like to help out, regardless of your skill set, send us your details.
