Coderdojo Event - Saturday 22nd Aug

On Saturday the 22nd 2015, Coderdojo Carrickmacross are hosting an event in the Market Square shopping centre to raise familiarity with the work we do and to advertise for mentors to join our dojo. This exciting event will feature activities and demonstrations by our Coderdojo Ninjas (members) throughout the day.

The event will kick off at 11am with Project-Spark. Our ninjas will demonstrate the skills they have learned in the last year with Project Spark showing us how to they use this creativity tool.

At 12 p.m. the main demonstration of our reconstruction of Carrickmacross  in Minecraft will begin. There will be a live demonstration accompanied by a video showing the detail, and you can  engage with the young ninjas and ask them about the content, and what it’s like at our dojo.

There will also be a Scratch workshop ongoing throughout the day with demonstrations from our ninjas showing some of their accomplishments in 2014 and 2015.

So, if you are interested, come along to the Market Square shopping centre outside Super-Value between 11AM until 4PM Saturday 22nd August.

we're all VOLUNTEERS

Mentors give their time freely to help build coding skills in the community.
If you'd like to help out, regardless of your skill set, send us your details.
